Latest Updates from Commune: Exciting Changes Ahead!

Here are the latest updates from Commune. Commune has announced a few updates, and here they are.

Reducing User Friction and Optimizing Network Performance

Commune is modifying some of its parameters to reduce user friction and optimize network performance. The minimum stake required to participate in the network will be set to 256 COM, and the minimum burn will be reset to zero. This means that users will not have to pay any fees to use the network and will only need a small amount of COM to join.

New Module Store Launch

Commune has stated that they will be adjusting this parameter as they prepare for the launch of their new module store. This module store is expected to go live in the coming week. This is an update we are really looking forward to.

Execution Chain Upgrade

Secondly, Commune plans to upgrade the execution chain later this week, which will connect to their new router validator. The router validator is now a key component of the Commune Network as it allows validators to track the usage of different modules and vote for the most used modules. These modules are the building blocks of the Commune network and can range from development tools to smart contracts to web services. By connecting the router validator to the Commune chain, it will enable a more dynamic and efficient network that adapts to the needs and preferences of users and validators.

Monetizing Memberships with Custom Creation Modules

Thirdly, Commune is launching a new feature that will allow validators to monetize their memberships on their own creation modules. The Commune website will provide tools such as Stripe, Metamask, and Commune Self, of course, so that validators can create their own front-end versions on their own templates. This will enable validators to customize services for their members and generate their own revenue for their creation skills. This will be a really cool development as it will create a more diverse and competitive marketplace for developer tools.

Introducing Commune X

Fourth, and now this is really exciting news, we have a team of developers within the Commune community who have developed a new tool called Commune X. Before you think that Commune X is something that competes with Commune, it absolutely does not. You can think of it more as a lightweight version of Commune where users and developers who may not need the heavy mining and validated packages that come with Commune only need a simple, quick, and fast user interface to interact and develop while using Commune. This is what Commune X has done. These guys have done an amazing job with what they have done, and it is currently in beta. So if this sounds interesting to you, head over to the Commune Discord and get in touch with these guys. They are looking for early adopters who would like to test their code. I have tested it myself, and you can find an installation video here. It is super simple and nice to work with, so I think everyone should go and try it out.

Upcoming AMA Session

Lastly, Commune is hosting an AMA session on Discord this Wednesday at 1:00 PM EST. They will review their new module store and discuss future developments. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in the community to come and ask questions, get involved, provide feedback, and also learn more about the project. So if you want to join and listen to the AMA, just join us on Discord. But if you can’t and you miss it, don’t worry, we always record the Commune AMAs on this channel so you can come back here anytime.

That's all, folks, and I hope you enjoy today's Commune news. If you liked it, please help us by giving us a thumbs up or subscribing to our channel because, as Tesco says, every little helps. Take care, people!
