latest news from Commune
Here is the latest news from Commune. We recently released the first part of our interview series with the Commune AI team and Huck. If you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend you check it out.
Major Milestone: 60,000 Accounts
We have something to celebrate. A few days ago, Commune AI reached over 60,000 accounts, which is a significant milestone achieved in a short period. Congratulations to the team and community!
New Version Release: Exciting Features
A new version of Commune has been released, bringing some exciting new features. Here are three notable ones:
- Split Windows Side by Side: This feature allows you to multitask and have parallel conversations simultaneously.
- Multi-Chat Mode: You can now send messages across multiple chats at the same time.
- CSV Export: The ability to export tables as CSV files has been added, making data management easier.
Update on Staking Issue: Swift Resolution
Commune AI also executed an update to address a staking issue discovered by a community developer yesterday. They successfully deployed some nodes to test the fix. To ensure everything goes smoothly, they decided to delay the final update until today. After extensive testing on the test network, Commune AI officially switched the chain to the main network a short while ago. In their announcement, they apologized for the downtime and explained that the discovered issue needed to be resolved immediately.
Update Highlights
- Staking Bugs Fixed: The update has resolved issues related to staking.
- Improved Validator Participation: Stainless steel weight improvements are made to encourage active participation by validators.
- Multi-Signature Pallet: This marks the first step towards full decentralization for Commune AI. The second step, planned for the coming months, will be to transition from multi-signature to a fully decentralized open governance mechanism.
If you encounter any issues with this update, please join the community Discord and let them know.
Kudos to the Team
Finally, great work by Huck, Huna, and everyone else who contributed to resolving this issue. They kept us informed throughout and resolved the problem promptly. Excellent job!
ComSwap Updates
ComSwap also informs that they have started updating all tools to align with the current state of the chain. They will notify everyone on how the bridge and swap will perform on-chain actions once completed. They hope to be operational within a few hours, which is impressively quick.
Stay Tuned
That's all for today. But before we go, if you know of any cool projects using Commune AI, please let us know. Take care and see you soon!
